At the heart of the negotiations leading up to the marriage agreement were numerous politically and legally sensitive issues, most notably the question of Princess Jelena’s conversion to the Catholic faith. The talks also encompassed matters of inheritance, dowry, the princess’s annual income, and other crucial legal details. Bogišić’s role in the mission is underscored by his professional rigor and legal thoroughness.
